Bessie Annabel MacAulay

Born in Westville on 6 May 1910 to David E. MacKenzie of Four Mile Brook and Catherine MacDonald MacKenzie of Green Hill she moved with her parents in 1911 to Elm Valley Farm in Durham.  Bessie began her teaching career at the age of 17 in Upper Mount Thom and retired from teaching in 1971 from Patterson Elementary School, Pictou.
