Estate of Samuel Cameron late of Elmsdale, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
June 27th 1883 In the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred eighty three- I Samuel Cameron of Elmsdale on the East Branch of the East River of Pictou Nova Scotia, Jailor, do will and bequeath as follows.
To Alexander my son I give all the lands, as described by his Deed.
To Nathan my son I give all the lands as described by his Deed.
To Duncan my son I give all the land as described by his Deed.
And to Nohum my son I give all the land as described by his Deed.
And to each of the above I give all the mines and minerals Rights and privileges thereto belonging and in case Duncan my son never comes home, I will that Nathan my son shall have all his lands as described by his Deed. Of Eight hundred dollars($800.00) now in the hands of B. McGregor & Sons New Glasgow I give unto Anna Bell my daughter Walter McDonald's wife $200.00 Two hundred Dollars. To Flora my daughter Duncan R. Thompson's wife I give $200.00 Two hundred Dollars. To Christy E. my daughter I give Two hundred Dollars ($200.00 and to Nohum my son I give Two hundred Dollars, ($200.00) the above sums each of the abovenamed are to get after the death of their mother who is to have the Interest of the Eight hundred Dollars during her life time.
To Ruth my wife I give the interest of Eight hundred Dollars above mentioned, during life now at five per Cent per annum, also the house in which we live and an acre of land around it.
I will that Alexander and Nathan, give her ten dollars each yearly or its value and each a Cow whilst Christy remains and keep them summer and winter and provide her with fuel summer and winter, each one half.
I will that Alexander and Nathan give Christy each a Cow if married. I give the house in which we live and an acre of land around it to my wife during her life time, and Christy whilst single, all the rest of the property I give to Nathan my son.
I appoint Alexander and Nathan my Executors of this Will.
