Probably taken 1890 to 1900s.
The homestead of J William Wilson and his wife Martha Langill Wilson. Both born in River John, J William was the son of Thomas Wilson born in Scotland and Martha the daughter of Joseph Langill. J William and Martha were married 9 May 1867. They raised six children in this home on the Tatamgouche Road, now known as the Louisville Road, in River John.
Their children were: Mary, Thomas Bruce, Margaret Nina, James Frank, John William and Martha A.
*Margaret Nina being the mother of Marguerite McKay Sutherland.
This home still stands and looks much the same minus the decorative trim and the second story over the ell.
