Obituary for James F. Paige printed in the Pictou Advocate on 19th of February, 1942, page 1.
James Fraser Paige, a native of Loch Broom, Pictou County, died in Orange, Texas, according to word received at Truro on Monday. A well known machinist, he learned his trade at the old Truro Foundry.
While working with the Fore River Shipbuilding Co., at Providence, R. I., and Quincy, Mass., some years ago, he was twice sent to Japan where he installed turbines in three Japanese battleships.
It is believed that at the time of his death he was on loan from his company to the United States government and was in charge of a new shipbuilding plant in Orange.
His wife was the former May Murray of Truro.
