Will of Henry Dunbar, deceased

Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds

I Henry Dunbar of Sunny Brae in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make publish and ordain this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time before heretofore made.

1st. I hereby constitute and appoint John M Dunbar of Hopewell and Jessie Dunbar to be my executors of this my last Will directing my said executors to pay all my just debts funeral and the legacies hereinafter given out of my estate

2nd. After the payment of my said debts and funeral expenses I give devise and bequeath all the residue of my estate to my beloved children Elizabeth Miller Jessie Dunbar John M Dunbar, Annie Wells Maggie C Cruickshanks Lena McDonald and Loriann Marshall share and share alike

3rd. If any of my children mentioned in the foregoing clause should die without issue upon her share shall have been void, such share shall be divided among my surviving children share and share alike

4th. If any of my children aforesaid having issue should die upon this share bequeaths to them shall have been paid, such share shall be given to such issue share and share alike, If any of such issue shall be under twenty one years of age at the time of the division of my estate I direct my executors to place such shares given to any child under twenty one years of age in a safe investment as far as then payment shall advise until such child shall have attained the age of twenty one years when the amount shall be paid to them.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Signed published and declared by the said Henry Dunbar as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who, at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the within paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Henry Dunbar late of Sunny Brae in the County of Pictou ** deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 13 day of December 1901.
