Matheson atty  Cause - David Matheson - Plaintiff vs William Sutherland - Defendant 

Confession by plea on Debt on Bond and Mortgage between the said David Matheson and the said William Sutherland as well for the sum of Thirty two pounds and ten shillings Damages and costs of suit.  Therefore is is considered that the said David Matheson do recover against the said William Sutherland his damages aforesaid of Thirty two pounds and ten shillings and also the sum of Seven pounds and Six pence for his costs of suit amounting in all to Thirty nine pounds ten shillings and six pence and the said William Sutherland in mercy etc.

I, James Skinner, Deputy Prothonotary of Her Majesty's Supreme Court of Judicature for the County of Pictou, in the Province of Nova Scotia, do hereby Certify unto all whom it doth or may concern, that the foregoing is a true and correct extract and copy of the original Docket and Judgement in the cause of David Matheson against William Sutherland entered upon the Docket Book of Judgments of Her Majesty's Supreme Court, at Pictou, in the Province aforesaid, Letter b Page 339 which Judgment was duly Entered, Docketed, and Signed by the Honorable Brenton Halliburton the chief Justice of said Supreme Court, on the tenth day of June in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty four for the sum of Thirty nine pounds ten shillings and six pence  Debt and Cost of Suit as of the Term of June in the Year last aforesaid. 

Given under my Hand and the Seal of the said Supreme Court, at Pictou, this twentieth day of June in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty four.
