Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Caudeleria, Nevada

 

January 30th. 1880. Be it known that I Alexander William Duff being in my sound mind and senses do hereby make my last Will and testament, and do appoint and constitute my friend John McDonald my Executor and desire that he shall attend to carry out my decrees to the best of his ability.

My Real Estate situated in Churchville Pictou County, Province Nova Scotia in the Dominion of Canada, to my brother Samuel Peter Duff of the same place. All my personal property consisting of (20) Twenty shares overman mining Stock, (20) Twenty shares Confidence mine Stock, (30) Thirty Shares Benton mining Stock and such other personal Effects, as are known to belong to me, to be taken charge of by the said John McDonald and sold and disposed of my him to the best possible advantage, further that the said John McDonald do pay all my bills and accounts and collect monies due to me viz - my wages due to me by the Northern Bell mill and mining Co. for the month of January also Fifty seven dollars and twenty five cents due to me from Charles Ross, and further that he John McDonald shall remit any and all balances remaining in his hands from such Sale of personal property and collections after paying my bills and accounts to my sister Catherine Duff.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of A.W. Duff late of Churchville in the County of Pictou, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
