Certified Copy of Will for Registry

Know all men by these presents, that I, Donald Douglas, of Providence in the state of Rhode Island, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say :-

I devise, give and bequeath to my niece, Jane McGarvey one undivided half part of all my real estate, situated in the County of Pictou in Nova Scotia, and wherever otherwise lying, to be and to remain unto her, her heirs and assigns forever.

I give, devise and bequeath to David William McGarvey, Andrew McGarvey, Mary E. Williams and Eliza Jane Fritz wife of George Fritz, children of my said niece Jane McGarvey, one undivided half part of my real estate, situated in the County of Pictou in Nova Scotia and wherever otherwise lying, to be and remain unto them their heirs and assigns forever.

All my other estate, real or personal I give and bequeath to my niece said Jane McGarvey and her said children herein mentioned to be divided as follows:- said Jane McGarvey to have one half part and the other half to be divided between said children equally, I hereby nominate and appoint David William McGarvey to be the executor of this my last Will and testament and direct that he may administer my estate without giving surety.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this 18th day of January A.D. 1885.

Signed, sealed published and declared by the aforenamed Donald Douglas as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who-- at his request, and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as witnesses.
