Estate of John Denoon, late of Westville, Mason, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I John Denoon of Westville in the County of Pictou, Mason, being of good and perfect mind and memory, and knowing the uncertainty of time, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament.

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Isabella Denoon all the real estate and personal property I own in this County , or elsewhere, including a two seventh interest in the property of the late Hugh McKay, my wifes father of Fox Brook in this County, also twenty shares in the Union Cooperative Store at Stellarton in this County also the (word scratched out) proceeds of two Insurance policies on my life amounting to two thousand two hundred dollars to be used for her support and the support of any members of my family who may be unable to work for his or her living. In the event however, of my widow getting married again she shall receive one third of the property then to the fore, and the remaining two thirds shall be devoted to the interests of my children according to the best judgement of my Executor.

I appoint my beloved wife Isabella Denoon my executrix and James Maxwell Underground Manage for the Acadia Coal mining Company Westville, Executor to act along my said wife as executrix of this my said last Will.

In witness whereof I have signed and published and declared this Instrument as my last Will and Testament at Westville in the County of Pictou this sixteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Ninety one.

The said John Denoon of Said Westville on said Sixteenth day of July A.D. 1891.

Signed and Sealed this Instrument and published and declared the same as his last Will and we at his request, and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto written our names subscribed witnesses.
