Description Knox Church, Elders and Minister

Interesting Old Picture - In the 60 Years-Ago column of The Advocate of August 4 an item was used from the issue of August 2, 1895, concerning a nicely arranged group by William Munro, photographer, of the session of Knox Church. We are indebted, to Mrs. V. A. Barnwell for a copy of the picture in question, and above is a reduced cut of the historical old picture. Left to right, the elders for 1894 are as follows: Top, David Logan, George Dawson, Daniel MacKenzie, John MacRae; Centre, Rev. George S. Carson, minister; Alex Murray; Bottom, Dr. John Stewart, John Johnston, William MacKenzie, John Ross.  In the centre is a picture of the church, now Pictou United Church.
