This Indenture, made the fifteenth day --- of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty two between Wil-- River in the County of Pictou Nova Scotia Carriage -- and Alexander Grant farmer Dalhousie Mountain of the other part Witnesseth, That the said William Ross for and in consideration of the Sum of forty six pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia, to him in hand paid by the said Alexander Grant at and before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; hath granted, bargained, sold, released and confirmed, and by these Presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said Alexander Grant his Heirs and Assigns, forever, a certain lot or parcel of land situate lying and being on Dalhousie Mountain in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, aforesaid, Beginning at a beach tree being the N. W. angle of George Grants farm lot thence south along the line of said Grants land sixty two chains to a brook thence westwardly along said brook eighteen chains and fifty links to land owned by William McKinzie thence North along said M'Kinzies line fifty six chains and fifty links to a stake and stones thence north sixty five degrees east eighteen chains & twenty five links to the place of beginning containing one hundred acres more or less together will all Houses, Outhouses, Barns, Stables, Buildings, Ways, Waters, Watercourses, Easements, Commodities, Hereditaments and Appurtenances, to the same Premises belonging; and all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Claim, Property and Demand of him the said William Ross in, to, and upon the same, or any part thereof: To Have, and to Hold the said Premises, hereby Granted and Sold; with all the Buildings Improvements, Privileges, and Appurtenances, thereunto belonging, unto him the said Alexander Grant his Heirs and Assigns, to his and their own proper use, benefit, and behoof, forever.  And the said William Ross for himself his Heirs, Executors and Administrators, doth, by these Presents grant, covenant, and agree to and with the said Alexander Grant his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, in manner and form following:  That is to say — That he the said William Ross is, and now stands seized of a good and sufficient Estate of Inheritance, in Fee Simple, of and in the Land's and Premises herein conveyed; and that he hath good right, full power, and lawful authority to grant, sell and convey the same, in manner and form as the same, is herein and hereby conveyed, or intended so to be; and that he the said Alexander Grant his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns shall, and may, at any time hereafter, and at all times, peaceably and quietly enter into, have, hold, occupy, possess, and enjoy the same, and every part thereof, without any let, molestation, eviction, or disturbance from, or by any person or persons whatsoever claiming the same, or any part thereof; and that he the said William Ross for himself and his Heirs, the said Lands and Premises, and every part thereof, to the said Alexander Grant his Heirs and Assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of all and every person and persons whomsoever, shall, and will Warrant and forever Defend.
