Gordon of this town and a brother of Joseph A. Gordon, Esq. The reverend gentleman was at one time stationed in Truro. He was afterwards called to the pastoral charge of St. Andrew's church, Ottawa, where he spent sixteen years' from there he went to Winnipeg, where he was a successful pastor of Knox Church for six years. About seven years ago he accepted a call to St. Andrew's of Halifax, where he labored until last autumn, when he was unanimously chosen by the Synod for teh Professorship of Systematic Theology in Pine Hill College. Mr. Gordon's abilities as a thrologian are such that he fully merits the high honor which has been conferred upon him, and his many friends throughout the country will join with us in wishing him long life and coninuted success in his good work."
