This indenture made the fifteenth day of February in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and seventy six between John Logan of West River in the County of Pictou Farmer of the one part and James Grant of River John in the County of Pictou and province of Nova Scotia _____ of the other part, witnesseth that for an in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars of lawful money of Nova Scotia, to him in hand paid by the said James Grant at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged the said John Logan hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, enfeoff and confirm unto the said James Grant his heirs and assigns All that certain lot of land sold by the governors of kings college reminder to Robert McDonald of Salmon River in the County of Colchester by Indenture of Deed bearing date the mentioned day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four and recorded in the registry of deeds at Pictou being all these two certain lots of land in the grant of free thousand acres at River John in the County of Pictou Granted to the persons of Kings college winder market sainted on a plane in said track made by William Mattie Deputy Surveyor my record in the Registry of Deeds at Pictou in fishers 40 sold as numbers 18 containing in each lot respectively one hundred acres more or less the two lots being configures to each other and being bounded south by the south line of the said tract west by lot number 16 in said plan, north by lots number 6 in said plan my east by lot number 9 on said plan. As by reference to said plan will more fully appear together.
Together with all and singular the houses, buildings, ways, watercourses, easements, privileges, and appurtenances to the said lot or parcel of land belonging or appertaining with the reversion and revisions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand, whatsoever, at law and in equity.
To have and to hold the said lot, piece or parcel of land above descried with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said James Grant his heirs and assigns forever. And the said John Logan his heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the said James Grant his heirs and assigns in manner and form following: that is to say that he hath good right, full power, and lawful authority to grant, sell, alien, and convey the said lot piece or parcel of land, above described with the appurtenances in manner and form as hereinbefore granted and conveyed. That the said James Grant his heirs and assigns, shall and may at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupy, posses and enjoy the said described lot or parcel of Land with the appurtenances and every part thereof without any manner of trouble, eviction, hindrance, or molestation of or from the said John Logan or of any person or persons lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. And also, that the said heirs the said lot and parcel of land and premises, hereby granted and conveyed and intended so to be unto to said James Grant his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all and every person and persons whomsoever will warrant, maintain and forever defend.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing deed from James Grant therein named the sum of Eighteen hundred dollars being the full consideration.
