This indenture made the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine. Between Andrew Fisher of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Blacksmith of the one part AND Alexander Fisher of the same place his son of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Andrew Fisher for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he bears to his son and the sum of one dollar lawful money of the Dominion of Canada to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Alexander Fisher at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents DOTH grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, convey and confirm unto Alexander Fisher his heirs and assigns the following lots, pieces or parcels of land namely
First lot situate, lying and being on the North side of the New Road leading from the Town of Pictou to the town Gut and bounded as follows; Beginning at the North side of said Road at the Southwestern corner of land belonging to Phillip Carrol, from thence to run North along said Carrols West side line twenty seven chains and fifty links to the Town Gut aforesaid, thence Southwesterly along said Gut three chains and seventy-nine links, thence south twenty-seven chains and fifty links to a stake and stones on the North side of said New Road, thence North Easterly along said Road to the place of beginning. Containing ten acres and one quarter acre more or less.
Second lot situate, lying and being in the second division of lots in the rear of the town of Pictou and is bounded and described as follows; by beginning on the North side of the road leading from Carriboo to Barrnys Mills (so called) and on the West side line of lands formerly belonging to one James Patterson, thence Westwardly along the said road three chains and forty-nine links to land in possession of Peter McLachlan, thence North three and a quarter degrees East thirteen chains and eighty two links, thence south eighty-seven and a half degrees East three chains and twenty five links, thence North three and a quarter degrees East fifty four chains more or less or the rear line of the second division of lots thence East seven chains and eighty five links to the lands formerly owned by the late George Smith, thence South three and a quarter degrees West along the said George Smiths side line to the rear of land formerly belonging to James Patterson aforesaid, thence North eighty seven and a half degrees seven and a half degrees west seven chains and eighty five links to the Northwest corner of the said James Patterson lot, and thence South three and a quarter degrees west along the side line of the said James Patterson’s lot to the place of beginning, containing Forty Five acres more or less.
Third Lot situate, lying and being in the Town of Pictou, bounded and described as follows; Beginning a the North East Angle of High Street and John Street, thence North along John Street two hundred and five feet to Falkand Street, thence East along Falkland Street fifty-nine feet until it comes to the West Side line of lands belonging to one Thomas Robley, thence South along said Robleys line two hundred and twenty six feet or to the North East Corner of Susan E. Fishers lot, thence west along Susan E. Fishers Northline twenty feet, thence South parallel with the said Robleys West line sixty one feet to High Street aforesaid, thence West along High Street thirtynine feet to the place of beginning.
Together with all and singular the houses barns, buildings, ways, waters, watercourses, easements, privileges, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining with the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim, and demand whatsoever of him the said Andrew Fisher, of, unto or upon the said described lot of land and premises and every part thereof.
To have and to hold the said above granted lots of land and premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Alexander Fisher his heirs and assigns forever.
In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto their hands and seals subscribed and set the day and year first above written.
