This indenture made this eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty Between John Grant of the West Branch f the East River in the county of Pictou and province of Nova Scotia Mason of the one part and Daniel Cameron od said West Branch in the County and Province aforesaid farmer of the other part witnesses that the said John Grant and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty pounds lawful money of the Province aforesaid by the said Daniel Cameron to them in hand well and truly paid at and before the ensealing of these presents the receipt whereof s hereby acknowledged Hath Granted, Bargained, sold, Aliened, enfeoffed, conveyed, and confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant, Bargain, sell Alain, Enfeoff, convey and confirm unto him the said Daniel Cameron his heirs and assigns forever All that certain tract, parcel or lot of land situate lying and being upon the west side of the west Branch of said East River and which is abutted and bounded as follows. Beginning at the North West Angle of the lands of the said John Grant the North East Angle of lands od Bound Grant thence south fifteen degrees west forty eight roads, thence South seventy five degrees East thirty eight and one half roads thence south fifteen degrees west seventy five roads unto land of a certain David McLean thence on line of land south seventy five degrees East one hundred and thirty one Roads thence North fifteen degrees east one hundred and twenty three Roads or to lands of Alex Grant thence North seventy five degrees west one hundred and sixty nine and one half roads or to the place of beginning Containing one hundred and ten acres more or less reserving and exiting out of the said lands one acre of land already surveyed and land off is Christy Grant and to her heirs forever With all and singular the houses out houses ____ Buildings, improvements, Privileges, and appetences thereof or thereunto in any ways belonging or appertaining the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainder, Rents issues, and profits thereof together with all the right title interest, claim, property and demand of him the said John Grant of in an to the said described lands and premises to have and to hold the same with the appurtenances to him the said Daniel Cameron his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all encumbrances and the said John Grant in and by these presents Doth for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns govenant promise and agree to and with the said Daniel Cameron his heirs and assigns in manner and form following that is to say that he the said John Grant is an now stands of a good and sufficient estate of inheritance of in and to the aforesaid lands and premises and to every part and parcel thereof and that he will warrant, mainitain and defend the same and every part thereof against all and every claim or claims of any person or persons whatso ever claiming the same or any part thereof to him the said Daniel Cameron his heirs and assigns forever In witnesses whereof the said John Grant and and the said Margaret his wife hath to these presents subscribed their hands and set their seals the day and year first written.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing indenture from therein named Daniel Cameron the sum of one hundred and forty pounds currency being in full the consideration money within mentioned.
On this Eighteenth day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty, before me one of her majesty’s justices of the peace for the county, Personally came and appeared Margaret Grant A part to the foregoing deed and wife of the future named John Grant also apart from her said Husband acknowledged that the voluntary executed the foregoing deed of her own free will and accord and without compulsion from her said Husband or any other person for that personal therein set forth.
