Description Deed William Gunn to Isabella Gordon

This indenture made the first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight between William Gunn of West River Station in the County of Pictou, farmer

Of the One part and Isabella Gordon, of Pictou in the County of Pictou, married woman, wife of John A. Gordon of the same place, watchman of the other Part, Witnesseth, That the said William Gun for an in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred dollars of lawful money of the Dominion of Canada, to the said William Gunn in hand well and truly paid by the said Isabella Gordon at or before the ensealing or delivery or THESE PRESENTS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Hath 

Granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, remised, conveyed and confirmed; and by these presents

Doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, remise, convey unto the said Isabella Gordon, her Heirs and Assigns, ALL that certain lot or parcel of land situate lying and being near West River Station aforesaid being a lot of land once owned by the late Donald Livingstone, Bounded and described as follows, that is to say; bounded one the north by lands of Alex MacLean; on the east by lands of the late James MacLean; on the south by lands of the late Kenneth MacLean and the lake and lands of James Cameron; on the west by lands of the MacLean and Sutherland estates, containing in all two hundred acres more or less together with all and singular the Buildings, Easements, Tenements, Hereditaments, and Appurtenances to the same belonging, or in anywise appertaining, with the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim, property, and demand, both at law and in equity of the said William Gunn of, in, to, out of the same, or any part thereof, unto the said Isabella Gordon, her Heirs and Assigns to her and their sole use, benefit and behoof forever.

And the said William Gunn for his Heirs, Executors and Administrators, hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Isabella Gordon, her heirs and Assigns, in manner following, that is to say; That it shall be lawful for the said Isabella Gordon, her Heirs and Assigns, from time to time, and at all times hereafter, peaceably and quietly, to enter into the said Lands and Premises, and to have, hold, occupy, possess and enjoy the same without the lawful let, suit, hindrance, eviction, denial or disturbance of, from or by the said William Gunn has a good sure, perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple in the said Land and Premise, and good right, full power and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner and form as they are hereby sold and conveyed and mentioned or intended so to be, and that the same are free from encumbrances.

And lastly that the said William Gunn, his Heirs, the said Land and Premises, and every part thereof, unto the said Isabella Gordon, her Heirs, the said Land and Premises, and every part thereof, unto the said Isabella Gordon, her Heirs and Assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, shall and will by these presents WARRANT and forever DEFEND.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Parties to these presents have hereunto set their Hands and Seals affixed, the day and year first above written.

Be it remembered that on this ___ day of ___ A.D. 190_, before me the subscriber, personally came and appeared ___ wife of __ mentioned in the foregoing indenture, who having been by me examined separate and apart from her said husband did declare and acknowledge that she executed the said Indenture as and for her free act and deed freely and voluntarily without fear, threat or compulsions of, from or by her said husband and for a full release of all her claims to the lands therein mentioned, whether by way of dower or otherwise.

On this 14th day of October A.D. 1908 before me the subscriber personally came and appeared Angus McDonald a subscribing witness to the foregoing indenture, who having been by me duly sworn, and oath and said that the said William Gunn, one of the parties thereto signed, sealed and delivered the ame in his presence.
