Province of Nova Scotia, County of Pictou. ss} On this fourteenth day of April A.D., 1908, before the subscriber personally came and appeared John W. Mackay the subscribing Witness to the foregoing Indenture, who having been by me duly sworn, made oath and said that Donald McKenzie one of the parties thereto, signed, sealed and delivered the same in his presence. William Cameron [signature] A justice of the Peace in and for the County of Pictou.
This Indenture made the fourteenth day of April in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight. Between Donald McKenzie of Carriboo Island and the County of Pictou, Farmer, of the one part and William McKenzie of Carriboo Island in the County of Pictou, Farmer, of the Other Part, Witnesseth, That the said Donald McKenzie for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar of lawful money of the Dominion of Canada, to the said Donald McKenzie in hand well and truly paid by the said William McKenzie at or before the ensealing and delivery of These Presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, remise, convey and confirm, unto the said William McKenzie his heirs and Assigns, All the undivided one fourth part or share of the said Donald McKenzie of in and to that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate lying and being at Carriboo Island in the County of Pictou bounded and described as follows:- Bounded on the North and East by Northumberland Straits, on the South by Carriboo Harbour and on the West by lands of Hughena Henry, containing on hundred and forty four acres more or less, together with the undivided one fourth part or share of the Buildings, Hereditaments, Easements and Appurtenances to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions, remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, all the estate, right, title, interest, claim, property and demand of the said Donald McKenzie of, in, or to the same, or any part thereof. To Have and To Hold the said undivided one fourth part or share of the said above granted and described Land and Premises, with the appurtenances unto, and the use of the said William McKenzie his heirs and Assigns forever.
