This identure made the fifteenth day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy four Between Gordon Kerr formerly of Pictou Nova Scotia Carpenter and now of Fall River State of Massachusetts and Flora Kerr his wife of the one part and Kenneth J. McKenzie of Westville in the County of Pictou Provice of Nova Scotia Druggist of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and Fifty Dollars of lawful money of Nova Scotia to them in hand paid by the said Kenneth J. McKenzie at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they the said Gordon Kerr and Flora Kerr have and each of them hath Granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, enfeoffed, and confirmed and by these presents do and each of them doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said Kenneth J. McKenzie his heirs and assigns all that lot piece or parcel of land situate in the Town of Pictou aforesaid and bounded and described as follows that is to say Beginning in the East side of Twining Street at the North West corner of Colin McKenzie's lot of land Thence North along said Street fifty feet or to a point four feet south of the lard wooden stone or warehouse Thence easterly in a line parallel with the north line of said Colin McKenzies lot Ninety feet more or less to MacMillans west line. Thence south along lands of said Alexander McMillan and lands of Meagher formerly the Chapel lot fifty feet or to the said North line of Colin McKenzies lot and thence west along the last named line or lot ninety feet or to the place of beginning.
Together with all and singular the Houses, buildings, ways, watercourses, easements, privileges, and appurtenances to the said lot or parcel of land belonging or appertaining with the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the estate right, title, interest, property, claim and demand, whatsoever at law and in equity of the said Gordon Kerr and the said Flora Kerr in the night of her dower in to and upon the said lot of land To Have and to Hold the said lot, piece, or parcel of land above described with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said Kenneth J. McKenzie his heirs and assigns for ever And the said Gordon Kerr for himself his Heirs, executors, and administrators doth hereby convenant, promise and agree to and with the said Kenneth J. McKenzie his Heirs and assigns in manner and form following; that is to say that he the said Gordon Kerr now hath in himself good right, full power, and lawful authority to grant, sell, alien and convey the said lot, piece, or parcel of Land above described with the appurtenances in manner and form as herein before granted and conveyed. Thae he the said Kenneth J. McKenzie his Heirs and assigns shall and may at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have, hold, occupy, possess, and enjoy the said described lot or parcel of land with the appurtenances and every part thereof without any manner of trouble, eviction, hindrance, or molestation of or from the said Gordon Kerr or any other person or persons lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. And, also that the said Gordon Kerr and his Heirs the said lot and parcel of land and premsises hereby granted and conveyed, and intended so to be unto the said Kenneth J. McKenzie his Heirs and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all and every person and persons whomsoever will warrant, maintain, and forever defend.
In witness whereof, the parties to these presents have hereunto their hands and seals subscribed and set the day and year first written.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing deed from Kenneth J. McKenzie therein named the sum of Four hundred and fifty dollars Canada currency being the full consideration

On this twentieth day of July in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy four before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for Bristol County at Fall River personally appeared Flora Kerr wife fo the within named Gordon Kerr who being by me examined apart from her said husband acknowledged and declared that she signed, sealed, and executed the foregoing Deed of Indenture as her free act and deed without any compulsion from her said husband, which I hereby certify. And I also certify that at the same tiem and place the said Gordon Kerr and Flora Kerr being by me first severally duly sworn did each acknowledge and depose that they respectively did duly sign seal and deliver the said deed - witness my hand
