Description Deed Thomas Langille to Daniel Salisbury

This indenture made this twenty first day of October in the year our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between Thomas Langille of Point Bradley in the County of Colchester Farmer and Mary the wife of Thomas Langille of the one part and Daniel Salisbury of River John in the county of Pictou farmer of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Langille and Mary his wife for an in consideration of the sum of Sixteen pounds of lawful money of the Province of Nova Scotia to them in hand well and truly paid by the said Daniel Salisbury at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged Have and each of them Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, enfeoffed, and confirmed, and by these presents Do and each of them Doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, enfeoff, and confirm into the said Daniel Salisbury his heirs and assigns the whole of all that undivided part past share or position of him the said Thomas Langille being the whole past share or position of the aforesaid Mary Langille which fell to her after the death of her Father William Salisbury, the whole into seven equal parts shares or positions lying being situate at Cape John bounded butted described as follows, vig; on the north by land belonging to Donald Henderson on the east by the Gulf of St Lawrence on the South by lands belonging to John Murphy and on the west, by River John Harbour Containing Eighteen acres more or less To have and to hold the said undivided part shares or position of land and premises with all the buildings therein belonging or in anyways appertaining thereto him the said Daniel Salisbury his executors administrators and assigns to his and their only use and benefit and behoof forever and the said Thomas Langille hereby binds himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns to warrant and defend the said Daniel Salisbury his heirs executors administrators and assigns in the peaceable and quite possession of the above conveyed premises forever. In witness whereof the said Thomas Langille and Mary Langille his wife have hereunto severally their names subscribed and seals fined the day herein first written.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Deed of Indenture from the therein named Daniel Salisbury the sum of sixteen pounds being the full consideration therein mentioned.

On the twenty first of October in year in year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four before me the subscribing one of her majesty Justices of the Peace for the County of Pictou personally came and appeared Mrs. Mary Langille the wife of said Thomas Langille the wife of said Thomas Langille whose name is subscribed to the foregoing Deed of Indenture who being by me examined supported and apart from her said Husband acknowledged that she did freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion from the said Husband sign seal and execute the foregoing Deed of Indenture for the purpose therein mentioned
