TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, the municipality of the county of Pictou, abody corporate and politic, sends greeting
Whereas in any by two certain join and several promissory notes bearing date May 23rd 1905, and duly registered in the Registery of Deeds at Pictou in the County of Pictou, in Book 143 pages 284 and 285 respectively and made by Smith Dwyer and James Dwyer both of River John in the County aforesaid for the sum of $12.24 and $20.00 respectively and payable two years after date to the said Municipality of the County of Pictou, and which said notes constitute a lien on the real estate of said Smith Dwyer and James Dwyer respectively for the due payment of said principal and interest. And whereas the said Smith Dwyer and James Dwyer have fully paid and satisfied the amount due on said respective notes.
NOW KNOW that the said Municipality of the county of Pictou in consideration of the premises and the sum of one dollar paid to said Municipality by said Smith Dwyer and James Dwyer the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged depth hereby release and discharge all the real estate of every kind and description of said Smith Dwyer and James Dwyer respectively form all claim interest and lien which said Municipality may have by virtue of the above mentioned promissory notes and the registry thereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said real estate with all and singular the appurtenances to the said Smith Dwyer and James Dwyer respectively and their respective heirs and assigns absolutely acquitted and released of and from said in part recited promissory notes and the respective sums thereby secured.
IN WITNESS whereof the said Municipality has hereunto affixed its corporate seal this 29th day of November 1905.
