Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I Richard Tanner of Pictou in the County of Pictou Esquire do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament.

I give devise and bequeath to m y beloved daughter Elizabeth Ann Tanner all the real and personal property I may die possessed of for her own sole use benefit and disposed subject to the bequest and condition hereinafter mentioned.

I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Rachel Clarke McKenzie wife of Captain William McKenzie the sum of Two hundred and Fifty dollars to be paid to her on my decease by my Executors hereinafter mentioned.

I give, devise and bequeath to my sister Ann Dix of St. John in the Province of New Foundland the sum of Thirty dollars to be paid to her on my decease by my said Executors.

I order and direct that after my decease my said daughter Elizabeth Ann Tanner shall suitable to his condition in life provide for and support my brother Thomas Tanner Senior during the remainder of his natural life.

I nominate constitute and appoint my son Thomas Tanner Junior and my son-in-law Captain William McKenzie Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and annulling all former wills by me at any time made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal subscribed and set at Pictou aforesaid this 5th. day of August A.D. 1897.

Signed Sealed and Declared by the above named Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in the presence of each other, and in the presence of the said Testator, all being present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Richard Tanner late of Bay View in the County of Pictou Esquire deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 17th. day of March AD 1906.
