A Charming Home For Golfers

Pictou Golf and Country Club which was opened last year for the first time, is said to have the finest situation of any such club east of Quebec.  The photograph is of the club house in the early spring before the foliage would prevent a clear picture being taken. It was an old country residence converted inot a very cozy and yet spacious club house. The grounds of the links, a nine hold course, roll away form the house along the top of a ridge of hills overlooking Pictou Harbour with a veiw flung out over Northumberland Strait and miles and miles of Nova Scotia coast line. In a clear day a view of the cliffs and the shores in their varying colors is like a glimpse of the coast of the Aegean Sea.  However, as attractive as the view may be, the course is even more fascinating and one after all cannot let his attention be long divided, or he will come a cropper at some of the hazards. The grounds are a part of that extent of land which is shared by the Presbyterian residence for boys attending the famous Pictou Academy and a property which is destined to undergo very great development within the next few years.
