“ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT made and entered into (in duplicate) this 26^th day of September A.D. 1906, between Daniel C. Campbell of Glace Bay in the County of Cape Breton, of the one part, and Eben McLeod of Gardner Mines in the said County of the other part, in manner an form following viz: -

            The said Daniel C. Campbell for the consideration hereinafter named does, for himself, his heirs and executors, covenant promise and agree to and with the said Eben McLeod his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, that he the said Daniel C. Campbell shall and will rent and let lot of land (about 25 acre) owned by the said Daniel C. Campbell and situate near Gardner Mines aforesaid, for a period of one year from the date hereof.

            In consideration whereof the said Eben McLeod for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Daniel C. Campbell his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, to well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Daniel C. Campbell his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, the sum of seventeen dollars in yearly payments.

            Either party may terminate this lease by giving the other, one months notice in writing.

            The said Daniel C. Campbell reserves the right to sell and remove, or have removed a small building now on the said property without any claim or interruption of, from or by the said Eben McLeod.
