Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I Neil Sutherland of Watervale in the County of Pictou Blacksmith being in sound disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this is my last Will and Testament.
First and principally I commit to my Soul to God and my body to the grave in the full hope of a glorious resurrection and as to touching such earthly things as it has pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath to my wife Caroline Sutherland all my real estate and personal property consisting of the property on which I now reside Blacksmith shop and tools, Store with goods, and also the stock on farm consisting of one horse, and two cows to have and to hold for herself and her heirs forever, so long as she remains unmarried.
In the event of my wife Caroline marrying again I give and bequeath all my real estate and personal property to my son Peter Grant to have and to hold for himself and his heirs forever.
Should my son Peter Grants thus fall heir to my property I require that he the said Peter Grant shall provide a home for all the other members of my family until they will be able to do so for themselves.
I authorize my wife Caroline Sutherland to collect all my Book accounts and require her to pay all my debts.
I appoint Samuel Archibald Esq. of Watervale and Mr. George Sutherland Senior, of Gairloch as executors of this my last Will and Testament.
Signed sealed published and declared as and for my last Will and Testament on this the tenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Neil Sutherland late of Watervale, in the County of Pictou, Balcksmith, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 10th. day of August A.D. 1882.
