Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

Know all men by these presents that I John James Sutherland of Rocky Mountain in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia Farmer being of poor health but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, and as to my worldly estate and all the property real personal or mixed of which I shall die seized or possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit -

First - my will is all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executors hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient.

Item I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Annie Sutherland all my property real and personal or mixed including all the land owned by me with all the buildings thereon and all contained in them, all my stock horses cattle sheep and Swine, all my farming implements including carts waggons ploughs and harrows and the harness belonging to the same and all the cash which I may have on hand or deposited or otherwise invested.

And lastly I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Annie Sutherland executrix and James D. McGregor of New Glasgow executor both of Pictou County executrix and executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I the said John James Sutherland have to this my last Will and Testament contained on one sheet of paper subscribed my name and affixed my Seal this twelfth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety nine

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of John James Sutherland late of Rocky Mountain in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the second day of January AD 1909.
