In the name of God, Amen. I Catharine Sutherland of Beech Hill Pictou being in perfect health of body and of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to GOD; calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say, principally and first of all, I give and commend my Soul with the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to b buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same again, by the mighty power of God.  And as touching such worldly estate, wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

First I give and bequeath to my beloved son Dan Sutherland all my lands in Beech Hill with all the stock and farming implements which he now possesses in his own name to be by him freely possessed and enjoyed forever.

It is also my will that my dear son William H. Sutherland shall possess and enjoy all my property in the Town of Pictou.

I give and bequeath also to Annie M. Sutherland my dear daughter, and to Willina M. E. Murray my dear grand-daughter all the Stock all monies. And all my goods within my house at the time of my death, half to each of these two parties (said) and the same to be foresighted by my son William and left to his discretion how said share shall be given to my said grand-daughter. I exclude all others by a shilling Sterling.

I make constitute and ordain my two beloved sons Dan Sutherland and William H. Sutherland executors of this my last Will and Testament. And I do utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments with legacies and bequests and executors by me at any time before named willed and bequeathed.

I leave the expenses of this will to my beloved son Dan above named  I ratify and confirm this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eighteen hundred and ninety four.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Catharine Sutherland late of Beech Hill in the County of Pictou Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 24^th. day of January 1907.
