Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

This is the last Will and Testament of Mrs. Annie Stewart of New Glasgow, County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia.

1st. I give and bequeath to my Brother, Daniel McDonald, of Thorburn, in the County of Pictou, the sum of Fifty Dollars, and to his wife, Christy McDonald, a further sum of Fifty Dollars.

2nd. I give and bequeath to my son, Robert A. Stewart, the sum of Fifty Dollars, and also to his wife, Tena Stewart a further sum of Fifty Dollars.

3rd. To my dear dear Daughter, Ellen Stewart, I give and bequeath the sum of One Hundred Dollars.

4th. The above sums will be found on deposit in my name in the “Dominion Government Savings Bank”, and after above sums are paid, to the above named parties, the balance remaining to my credit in said Savings Bank, whatever it may be, I give and bequeath to my son James Stewart, a piece of land left me by my late uncle, John McDonald, and at present used and occupied by m brother, Daniel McDonald, Thorburn, the said Daniel McDonald to have said land measured and surveyed, and conveyed to my son, James Stewart.

I further name and appoint, my said son, James Stewart, sole executor of this my last Will and Testament, and desire that he carry out my wishes as above directed, without any unnecessary delay.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, at New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, this Seventeenth day of September Nineteen hundred and thirteen, I have signed this my last Will.

Signed and published by the said Testator Annie Stewart, as and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us both being present at the same time, who in her presence and in the presence of each other, at her request, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

IN THE COURT OF PROBATE

I, John D. McLeod, Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Annie Stewart, late of New Glasgow, in the County of Pictou, Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the Fourteenth day of October, A.D., 1913.
