Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, Alexander Sutherland of Kerrowgare, in the County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

1^st. I give and bequeath to my wife Bella Sutherland fifty ackors of my farm being that Lot of land situated and bounded as follows on the East by lands owned by John Sutherland my Brother, on the North by lands owned by William Sutherland Farmer, West line through my farm, and I wish it to be distinctly understood that said wife Bella Sutherland is to have ad to hold the House Barns and Outhouses, and the land on which they now stand together with all the water Privileges that we now enjoy Both summer and winter, regardless of the west line if run straight, on the South by lands owned by Donald Chisholm, Farmer.

2^nd. I give and bequeath to Alexander Sutherland my nephew the remainder of the Farm 100 ackors more or less and one house on condition that he Alexander Sutherland will stop on the Farm and help to support the members of the household (words scratched out) as he now does and I wish to add if he stays n the farm until my wife Bella Sutherland dies, working faithfully and dutifully as a son should do, for A mother it is my Will that he should get the whole of the farm as it now stands, if not this foregoing is null and void, or if he Alexander Sutherland will absent himself from the farm for the space of two years not giving either work or money to the amount of $20, a year, he said Alexander Sutherland forfeits all his claims and my wife Bella Sutherland become the Sole Air to all my real property as it now stands.

3^rd. I order and bequeath to my Nease Temia McPherson a home with my wife as long as she chooses to stay, also two cows, si sheep, on her marriage day. And lastly, with the rest and residue of my personl property after payment of my just debts, I give to my said wife Bella Sutherland.

I hereby appoint John A. McDonald Kerrowgare, to be my executor of this my Will,
