Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I Mary Sullivan of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou Widow hereby declare this my Last Will and Testament.

I hereby appoint Hugh Ross of New Glasgow aforesaid undertaker, Thomas A. McLean of Charlottetown Prince Edward Island Manufacturer and John H. Sinclair of said New Glasgow Barrister executors of this my last Will and the Trustees and Guardians of my grandchildren.

I give all my real estate and personal property wheresoever situate unto my said executors their heirs executors and administrators upon Trust to sell the same or any part or parts thereof and to convert the same or any part or parts thereof into money and after paying all just debts due by me and my funeral expenses and the expenses of settling my estate to hold and apply the balance or so much thereof as may be necessary of my said executors or the survivor or survivors of them from time to time as occasion may require to the support and education of my grandchildren Harry Ash** Johnstone and Mary Johnstone and

I do hereby devise and bequeath all the said balance of my estate in the hands or under the control of my said executors to my said grandchildren Harry Ash**Johnstone and Mary Johnstone share and share alike absolutely and in the event of the death of either of the above named grandchildren unmarried and before the age of twenty one years then the whole balance remaining on such account shall go to the survivor and his or her heirs forever,

My executors may retain any part of the said real estate if they deem it advisable so to do until the said Mary Johnstone hall arrive at the age of twenty one years or they sell and dispose of the whole as aforesaid in their discretion. The advances to be made during the minority of the said Harry Johnstone Ash*** Johnstone and Mary Johnstone shall be altogether in the discretion of my said executors and any advances made to either of my said grandchildren shall at the final settlement be deducted from his or her share respectively and my said executors are authorized if they deem it advisable to pay out the whole balance in advances to my said grandchildren for their support or education before they arrive at the age of twenty one years.

I authorize my executors to make and execute Deeds of any or all real estate left y me without application to the Probate or any other Court. My said executors shall be at liberty to appoint one of their number, or any other person in their discretion to look after the money until the real and personal estate left by me collect rents and transact such business as may be necessary and to allow a just and fair remuneration transfer during the minority of my said grandchildren.

I do further declare the my said executors and Trustees shall respectively be accountable only for such money as they shall actually receive and shall not be answerable for each other or for any banker broker or other person in whose hands and Trust funds may be placed nor otherwise for monetary losses.

In Testimony whereof I the said Mary Sullivan the testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament contained on this and the two preceding sheets of paper set my hand and Seal this Eighth day of June AD 1893.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Mary Sullivan late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 3rd. day of December 1901.

Witness my hand at Pictou this 3rd. day of December 1901.
