Copy of Last Will and Testament of Duncan Stewart late of Pine Tree Gut, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified by Registry Court of Probate

In the name of God, Amen. I, Duncan Stewart of Pine Tree Gut in the Township of Egerton and County of Pictou, Farmer being weak in body but sound in mend and memory Doth make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz.

First, I direct that all my just debts and demands against me by duly paid and as to whatsoever goods and chattels or Real Estate which I am possessed of I give devise and bequeath as follows,

The lot of land which is now in my possession in the Pine tree Gut bound on the North by the Estate of the late George Roy Esqr. on the East by the shore of Pine Tree Gut, on the South by the Land in possession of John Weir, Miller and on the West by the Land of Simon McKay, being in all one Hundred acres more or less I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ann with all the moveable Stock and farming utensils, the whole to be by her possessed, at my death with full power to devise bequeath or Deed the same to all or any of my children as may seem most prudent to her at any time, or to sell te any other person provided that whatsoever she maybe possessed of at her death may come to all or any of my children as above.

And I do by these presents nominate constitute and appoint Peter McDonald D. Son to be my Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, revoking hereby and making void all former and other Wills by me made.

 

In witness whereof I have hereto Set my hand and Seal this nineteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty seven.
