Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I Alexander P. R. Stalker do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament. hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

I appoint as Executrix and Executors of this my will my wife Alice J. Stalker and my brother John A. Stalker and my nephew Alexander S. Stalker.

I direct that my Executrix and Executors out of my monies in the Dominion Savings Bank to pay the sum of one hundred dollars in reduction of the debt on the Building of the Young Men's Christian Association Pictou and the like sum of one hundred dollars to the Foreign Mission Fund of the Presbyterian Church in Canada (Eastern Section).

I give devise and bequeath to my brother John A. Stalker all my share interest and Estate in the Birch house and Shop premises and in the frameware house both on the East side of Coleraine Street in the Town of Pictou and also all monies and securities for money in the nature of cash owing or belonging to the firm of John A. Stalker & Co.

I give devise and bequeath to my nephew Alexander S. Stalker all my share and interest in the partnership business of John A. Stalker and Co. including books debts owing to and firm stock in trade and excepting only the monies heretobefore refered to.

I give devise and bequeath to my Wife Alice J. Stalker all the household furniture and moveables of whatever nature and kind in about or appertaining to the messuage and premises where I reside and the sum of five thousand dollars absolutely to her own use also my life insurance.

All the residue and remainder of my estate of whatsoever nature and kind and whatsoever situate I give devise and bequeath to my executrix and Executors hereinbefore named in thrust that they or the survivor of them shall as same as conveniently may be after my decease sell get in and convert into money all such parts of such residue as do not consist of money or securities for money and after payment of my just debts and testamentary expenses from the proceeds of such sale getting in or conversion shall invest the residue in bank stocks or other interest bearing security, with power for my executrix and Executors at their discretion to vary and transfer such stocks or securities for any others of the kind hereinbefore prescribed and at their discretion to continue any such investments as I in my lifetime made have made and shall pay the annual income of the said stocks and securities to my said wife during her life and after her death to divide the corpus or principal sum invested between my brother John A. Stalker and his children and the children of my sisters Annie Harriat and Geogiana in such proportions as my wife shall by her last will or deed or deeds appoint.

In witness thereof I have my hand subscribed to this my will this twenty fifth day of February one thousand nine hundred and seven.

I Alexander P.R. Stalker do hereby declare this as a codicil to my will dated the twenty fifth day of February A.D. 1907.

Whereas by said will I have made certain devises and bequess to my brother John A. Stalker. Now it is my will and to be read as apart of my said will that if the said John A. Stalker should die before me the property and estate to him devised and bequeathed shall go to such persons as he shall by his will appoint and in default of such appointment to his heirs at law or legal representatives according to the respective nature thereof.

In all other respects I confirm and republish my said will.

I Witness whereof I have my hand subscribed to this codicil to my will bearing even date herewith to date the twenty fifth day of February one thousand nine hundred and seven.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander P.R. Stalker late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Merchant deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 18^th. day of March AD 1907.
