Last Will and Testament of John Smith late of Six Mile Brook, Farmer deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God, Amen.

I, John Smith of the Six Mile Brook, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, being at present weak in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be unto God, knowing that it is appointed unto all men ever to die Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament.

First of all I give and recommend my Soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor and Executrix herein named assured that at the General Resurrection shall receive the same again by the Almighty Power of God and as regards such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to give me I give and dispose of the same in the following manner.

Firstly. I order that all my Just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid.

Secondly. I give and bequeath to my wife Grace Smith all my Real Estate and personal property of whatever kind the same may be or wherever situated to be altogether at her own disposal and management.

Thirdly, I appoint and ordain Alexander Smith of the Eight Mile Brook and my said wife Grace Smith Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and testament, revoking all former Wills and ratifying and confirming this and no other.

In witness whereof I have hereto subscribed and Set my hand Seal this seventeenth day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy nine.

Signed Sealed published pronounced and declared as the last Will and Testament of John Smith who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John Smith late of the Six MIle Brook, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 15th.day of August A.D. 1879.
