Goods and effects in and about the same to the use of my wife during her life and from and after her death to mu daughters Mary Ann, wife of Walter Johnson and Ella Jane, wife of William Thomas, their heirs and assigns forever in equal shares. Should my wife, however, after my death feel that she doe not care to live in or have the use of the said house and lot of land and desires that the same be sold then it would be in accordance with my wishes, should my said daughters so consent, that the said property should be sold for the best price obtainable and that my wife should in such an event receive of the proceeds of said sale in lieu of her life interest five hundred dollars less than one-half of the money realized from the sale of the said property and the rest should be divided equally between my two daughters.
