Will of Samuel S Setchell, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
I Samuel Septimas Setchell of Salt Springs in the County of Pictou Book Maker do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all wills by me at heretofore made..
1. I will devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Janet Setchell all my real and personal property during her life time except so much of the dwelling house and barns as are now occupied by my son Hugh Arthur Frederick Setchell the same to be occupied and used by him as usual at my wife's death al the real and personal property to go to my son Hugh Arthur Frederick Setchell.
Should there be any money left at my wife's death the same to be divided equally between Martha Janet Carthew, George W. Setchell Francis A Setchell and Hugh Arthur Frederick Setchell share and share alike.
2. Should my daughter Martha Janet Carthew ever need a home she should have the part of the house now occupied by myself and wife all except the front room, she shall have the kitchen dining room and small bed room adjoining at the north east part of the house but it is to be distinctly understood that no second family is to be brought into the house.
Lastly I hereby nominate constitute and appoint Hugh Arthur Frederick Setchell and John R. Bell of Salt Springs executors of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and set this fourth day of March AD 1905.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Samuel S. Setchell late of Salt Springs in the County of Pictou Book Maker deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 22nd. day of March AD 1905.
