Estate of Jane Kate Crerar, late of Pictou, Widow, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Kate Crerar at present of the town and County of Pictou in the Province of Nova Scotia, Widow,
I give devise and bequeath unto my son John Crerar of the City of Chicago in the United States of America Merchant absolutely my Silver Candelabras and white and gold tea set, also silver toddy candle.
I give devise and bequeath unto my son James P. Crerar of the City of Ottawa in the Dominion of Canada Banker absolutely my wedgewood tea set and Silver Candlestick and Silver marrow spoon.
I give devise and bequeath to my granddaughter Jane the daughter of my son Harry H. Crerar of Antigonish and Province of Nova Scotia, my gold watch and chain. I give devise and bequeath to my Margaret wife if said Harry H. Crerar a gold bracelet. To my three sons John, James P. and Harry H. Crerar my linen marker with the name of "Hatton" to be equally divided between them.
All the rest and residue of my estate I now own and possess and also moneys and Cash which I shall save out of my income and which may or may not be invested in stocks I give and devise the same unto my daughter Laura Boyd, wife of William Boyd of Edinburgh, Scotland, writer to the Signet absolutely for her Sole and separate use free
from and without being Subject to the debts or control of her present or any future husband. Should there be devised to me under the Will or Wills of any of my relatives residing in England or elsewhere any property real or personal I give and devise the same absolutely to my children the said John Crerar, James P. Crerar, Laura Boyd, and Harry H. Crerar, to remain in the proportion of two thirds of the same and the said John Crerar and James P. Crerar in the proportion of one third of the same.
Should my said daughter Laura Boyd die without children her surviving , then I order and direct that the foregoing bequeaths in this will made to her, be divided in even proportions between my three sons, John, James P. and Harry H. Crerar.
I hereby nominate and appoint my said three sons hereinbefore named namely John Crerar, James P. Crerar, and Harry H. Crerar and the Survivor of these as the executors and Trustees under this my said last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunder set my this September 12th. in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety four.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Jane Kate Crerar Late of Pictou, in the County of Pictou, Widow, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
