Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I Alexander Cumming of Upper Settlement of East river County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia and Dominion of Canada Yeoman, Being of sound mind and good memory do make and deliver This my last Will and testament.
1st. I will and bequeath unto my two daughters to wit - Elizabeth and Margaret all my real Estate left by me at my death.
2ndly. I will and request, that my funeral expenses will be paid out of y personal property left by me at my death by my wife Mary. to her, that is my wife Mary I Bequeath all my personal property without reserve.
3rdly. I will and request that my wife Mary will have to old house for her sole use and benefit during her natural life.
4thly. I will and request that my two daughters Elizabeth & Margaret will keep two cows and six sheep for their mother during winter and sumer, also said Elizabeth & Margaret will give their mother each and every year during her natural life two barrels of flour, two hundred pounds of oatmeal, twenty bushels of potatoes and plenty fuel ready for use for both winter and summer, during her natural life.
