Will of William Purvis, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
I William Purvis of Plymouth in the County of Pictou, Farmer, do hereby make and publish this my Last Will and Testament.
First, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Hannah the organ now in my dwelling house and also the sum of one hundred Dollars.
Second, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mary the sum of fifty Dollars.
Third, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Margaret the sum of fifty Dollars.
Fourth, The residue of my estate both real and personal after paying the above bequests I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine that is to say the lot of land situated at Plymouth lately purchased by me from John Hoar continiing one acre more or less together with dwelling and out buildings thereon.
Also that portion of the original lot retained by me from the property conveyed to my son John Thomas this day deed containing Barn and shed,
And also that lot bequeathed to me by will of my late Father situated on the south side of McLellan's Brook road containing 22 acres more or less and household furniture, Horses cattle and farm implements cash and stock all to be used by her for her maintenance and support during her life, and at her death all of the same (excepting the cash and stock) to become the property of our beloved son Howard.
And hereto the said Howard not survive his mother, then all the property that would otherwise have been his is to become absolutely under the control of my beloved wife Catherine whom I herebuy authorize to give the same to any other one of our beloved sons she may deem advisable.
Fifth, I hereby appoint George Gray of Stellarton my executor of this my last Will. and Testament,
In witness whereof I the said William Purvis have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named William Purvis the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us both present at the same time, who at his request and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of William Purvis late of Plymouth in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 14th. day of March AD 1908.
Witness my hand at Pictou this 14th. day of March AD 1908.
