Estate of William Patrick late of Moose river, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
Know all men by these present that I William Patrick of Moose river, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, being od sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament, and as to my worldly estate, and all the property real and personal of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitles at the time of my death, I give devise bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit,
First, My will is that all my just debts funeral expenses and the expenses attendant upon the settlement of my estate be paid by my executors hereinafter named, as soon as convenient after my decease.
Second, I give and bequeath to James William my son two hundred acres of land beginning at the north east Corner of my land running South to a stake and stones at john Meikle Ross’s line, thence along this south line of my land a sufficient distance to give the above mentioned quantity of land two Hundred acres,
I also bequeath to James William my son all farming implements, Harness and Sheep and Cattle with the exception of three Cows, Providing that he the said James William will at all times maintain and provide for his mother whether in health or sickness in a decent & respectable manner according to her and his station in life and also that he give my son Alexander his brother a fair education and assist him in getting a trade any such trade as will be most to his liking.
I give and bequeath to Robert my sop nth remainder of my land after taking James William’s two hundred acres as above stated, be the balance one hundred acres more or lefs.
I bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret three Cows together with her support and maintenance, as above stated to be disposed of as she may see proper and kept on the farm until she sees fit to dispose of them,
Lastly, I do nominate and appoint my son James W. Patrick and Roderick McDougall Merchant, of Blue Mountain to be the executor of this my last Will and testament.
In testimony whereof I the said William Patrick have to this my last Will and testament subscribed my name and affixed my Seal this thirtieth day of July 1891.

Signed Sealed and published and declared by the said William Patrick as and for his last Will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other have hereunto Subscribed our names as witnesses.

In the Court of Probate of Wills
I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William Patrick, late of Moose River in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 28th. day of September A.D. 1892.
