Estate of William C. Olding late of Merigomish, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I William C. Olding of Merigomish in the County of Pictou, Farmer, do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and testament, at the same time revoking any former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

First, It is my will that out of the proceeds of my estate my executors hereinafter named pay all my just debts, funeral expenses and the expenses attendant upon the settlement of my estate.

Second, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mary Jane Olding the farm on which I now reside situate at Merigomish aforesaid, to have and to hold the same and every part thereof to her and her heirs forever.

Third, I also give and bequeath to my said beloved daughter Mary Jane the sum of eight hundred dollars.

Fourth, The residue of my estate I give and bequeath to my three daughters Mary Jane Olding, Christine grant wife of Thomas Grant, Jemima Ritcey, wife of J.A. Ritcey and their heirs, share and share alike, to be paid to them, and each of them by my Executors as soon as convenient after my decease.

Fifth, I hereby appoint my said daughter Mary jane Olding and my said son in law Thomas Grant of said Merigomish, Farmer, the Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and testament, and I direct that my son in law shall receive fifteen dollars in lieu of commission for any trouble he may have connected with the settlement of my estate.

In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Sixth Day of November A.D. 1895.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of One page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William C. Olding late of Merigomish in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
