Estate of Daniel Chisholm, late of Saltsprings, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
This is the last Will and testament of David Chisholm , Farmer, of Saltsprings in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia.
I give devise and bequeath to my brother Duncan Chisholm all my real estate with the buildings therein, also my stock of horses, cattle and sheep, farming utensils waggons and every article in connection with the homestead on which I live, also one seat and one half interest in another seat in St. Luke's Church, Saltsprings, for his use during his lifetime , at his death the said real estate with the buildings thereon, stock of horses, cattle and sheep, farming utensils, waggons, and the other articles referred to, also the whole seat and half interest of another seat in St. Luke's Church become the property of Ida Chisholm to and for her own use and purpose. The said Ida Chisholm to remain with my brother Duncan Chisholm on the homestead farm, he to provide her with suitable clothing and give her an equal share of the house with himself.
I give devise and bequeath to William Fraser my nephew the sum of fifty dollars of the money now deposited in the Dominion Savings Bank.
I give devise and bequeath to Mary Ann Campbell my niece the sum of fifty dollars.
I give devise and bequeath to my Catherine McKenzie, wife of Alexander McKenzie of Saltsprings the sum of Six hundred dollars.
I give devise and bequeath to Ida Chisholm the balance of my money, deposited in the Dominion Savings Bank. She to pay any and all of my debts at my death, Catherine McKenzie and Ida Chisholm to pay equal shares of a suitable monument at the head of my grave, and also to pay equal shares of funeral expenses.
I give devise and bequeath to my brother Duncan Chisholm all the furniture bed clothing and every article in the homestead house, for his use during his lifetime, at his death all these articles become the property of Ida Chisholm to and for her own use and purpose.
I hereby nominate and appoint Alexander McKenzie of Saltsprings executor of this my said last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I the Testator have hereunto set my hand and this tenth day of August in the year of our Lord, One thousand Eight hundred and ninety seven.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Daniel Chisholm, late of Saltsprings in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
