Will of John Millar, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
In the name of God, Amen.
I John Millar of West River of Pictou, Farmer being of perfect mind ad memory calling to mind the mortality do make this my Last Will and Testament that is to say,
First of all I recommend my body to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executor and all my lawful debts if any paid an as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased the Lord to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in following manner.
First I give and bequeath unto my son James all that part of the farm now owned by me at Roger’s Hill and in the event of my wife surviving me that she will have control of it during her natural life.
Second to my daughters Annie and Elizabeth Nancy all the lot of land on which I now reside situate and being on the west side of the West river and near Durham with the appurtenances and everything thereon provided that in the case of my wife surviving me that she have control of the same during the term of her natural life and also everything in the (word scratched out) house at the time of my death.
I do also constitute and appoint my son James Millar my Sole executor.

Signed Sealed and pronounced and deliver by the said John Millar as his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto Set and Subscribed our names this thirteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety five.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of John Millar late of West River in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 15th. day of December AD 1904.
Witness my hand at Pictou this 15th. day of December AD 1904.
