Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I Margaret Meagher in the County of Pictou Widow do make publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.

I give, devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Meagher the lot of land or field owned by me situates on the west side of Prince Street in the Town of Pictou known as the Primrose field also the lot of land or field owned by me and situated on the west side of Prince Street aforesaid and adjoining on the north the homestead property on which I now reside known as the Patterson field.

I give devise and bequeath to my son John Meagher the lot of land or field owned by me and situated on the south side of the old Road so called leading from the Town of Pictou to the Town Gut so called, also the lot of land or field owned by me and situated on the east side of the Road leading from the River Joh Road to the back Road of the Town of Pictou so called.

I give devise and bequeath to my said son John Meagher and my daughter Johanna Meagher the homestead property on which I now reside owned by me situated on the west side of Prince Street aforesaid with the dwelling house and all buildings thereupon equally between them, provided however that my said son Thomas Meagher shall have the use and occupation with free ingress and egress of the Barn Slaughter house and outbuildings during the term of his natural life.

I give devise and bequeath to my said daughter Johanna Meagher all the household furniture owned by me and contained in my said dwelling house.

I give devise and bequeath to my granddaughter Margaret Nila McDonald daughter of D. J. McDonald Conductor the sum of forty five Dollars.

I nominate constitute and appoint my sons Thomas Meagher and John Meagher executors of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

Signed Sealed and Declared by the above names Testator as and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who in the presence of each other, and in the presence of the said Testator, all being present at the same time, at her request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. Being first read over and explained to the said Testator who seemed perfectly to understand the same and made her signature in the presence of us.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Margaret Meagher late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 8th. day of March 1906.
