(Handwritten) Estate of Alexander Chisholm, late of Cape John, Yeoman, deceased, Testate Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds This is the last Will and testament of Alexander Chisholm of Cape John in the County of Pictou, Yeoman. I give devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate to which I shall be entitles at the time of my decease unto my son Kenneth Chisholm his Heirs Executors Administrators ad Assigns for his and their own use benefit and behoof Forever. Provided nevertheless And this bequeath is made upon the express condition however, that he the said Kenneth Chisholm shall and will at all times after my decease furnish and supply my wife Christy Chisholm with house accommodation on the premises on which I now reside, consisting of two rooms, one bedroom and one sitting room during the period of her natural life, and shall furnish at all times during said period, for her use, sufficient amount of fuel ready for use, and shall keep on the premises for her use during said periods two cows and six sheep, and shall deliver unto her yearly for her maintenance during said period three hundred weight of flour, two hundred weight of Oatmeal and thirty bushels of potatoes - and one hundred weight of beef, and one half of the fowl, and shall also allow her the use of the garden on the south side of the house. And shall also pay to my daughter Mary B. Chisholm the sum of one hundred Dollars and deliver unto her one cow, six sheep and a sewing machine, and shall also pay to my sons William Chisholm, Roderick Chisholm ad Archibald Chisholm the sum of eighty dollars each, and I direct that the said last mentioned payment to my said daughter and three last mentioned sons be not made sooner than eighteen months after my decease, unless my said son Kenneth Chisholm deems it proper to do so. I do further reserve all the bed clothing and bedding, and I do bequeath same unto my said wife and to her heirs and assigns forever. And lastly I do appoint my son John Chisholm of Scotch Hill in the County of Pictou, Shoemaker, and Alexander Baillie of Cape John in the said County, Farmer, Joint Executor of this my said last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former testament writings.
