Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen.
I Donald McQuarrie of Scotch Hill, Pictou, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and testament, that is to say, first of all, I recommend my Soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same again, by the Almighty power of God, and as touching such worldly estate, wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Bella my house, and lot in the town of Pictou, and two thirds of whatever monies or properties I shall have at command besides. Also I order that my sister Jessie shall have a home in my said house and lot while she liveth, and one third of whatever monies and properties I shall have at my command. The survivor of them shall have the whole, but if Jessie my sister be the survivor shall and will give one third of what is at her command from my estate to my sister
Mary.
I exclude all others from an share in my estate.
I constitute make and ordain Allan McQuarrie Toney river (brother in law to my dear wife Bella) and Alexander McQuarrie Hardwood Hill (Simon’s son) the executors of this my last Will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand Seal this third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighty two.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page & part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Donald McQuarrie, late of Scotch Hill in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 31st. day of October A.D. 1893.
