Estate of John McPherson late of Rocklin, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
Know all men by these presents that I John McPherson of Rocklin in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia in the Dominion of Canada, being of sound disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament.
1St. I give and bequeath to my eldest son Andrew McPherson all the farm lot on which I now reside Situate on the east side of the Middle River, in the |County of Pictou and province aforesaid except the dwelling house and one acre of land on the west side of the main road being the land on which the house is situated, which house and acre of land is reserved for the benefit and behoof of my beloved wife Annie McPherson during the time of her natural life.
I also give and bequeath to my said son Andrew McPherson one half of the farm stock and all the farming implements, he the said Andrew McPherson to pay all my lawful debts and to give his mother my wife Annie McPherson a respectable maintenance according to her circumstances during her natural life, and also to maintain and educate my two youngest children, Alexander McPherson and Alexie Ann McPherson until they obtain maturity.
2nd. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Annie McPherson the House and one acre of lad already named in the foregoing presents during the term of her natural life and also one half of the farm stock which one half is again to be equally divided between her the said Annie McPherson and my son John McPherson.
3rd. I give and bequeath to my son John McPherson one fourth of my farm stock being the same as mentioned in Section 2nd. of these presents.
4th. I give and bequeath to my son Andrew McPherson all the residue of my estate goods and chattels an also the House and acre of land reserved for my wife Ann a the decease of her my said wife Annie.
5th. I ordain and appoint Alexander McArthur of Glengarry and Robert Munro of Rocklin and Annie McPherson my wife, my Executors and Executrix of this my last Will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand Seal and published this t be my last will and testament in presence of the witnesses named below this 13th. day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred eighty four.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said John McPherson as and for his last Will in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have Subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John McPherson, late of Rocklin in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 3rd. day of March A.D. 1885.
