Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

This is the last Will and Testament of John McPhie of Springville in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer.

1st. I give and bequeath to Christy Ann Miller my daughter widow of the late John Miller of Garden of Eden the sum of fifty dollars and also a home with her sister Margaret Jessie in the house hereinafter bequeathed by me to the said Margaret Jessie my daughter until such time as she shall acquire a home of her own.

2nd. I give and bequeath to Margaret Jessie McPhie my daughter all my real estate and the residue and remaining part of my personal property including my home and land, live stock, furniture, household effects an all the money, notes of hand, Mortgages and other securities of which I shall die possessed, giving my said real and personal estate and proper to my sad daughter Margaret Jessie after the payment of my just debts, funeral and Testamentary expenses for her sole use forever.
Provided Always – that she the said Margaret Jessie shall take charge of my wife Mary McPhie and take proper care of her and provide for her during her lifetime all the necessaries ad comforts of life such as she enjoyed during my lifetime and also that she will give her sister Christy Ann Miller a home with her in the house herein bequeathed to her until such time as she shall acquire a home of her own.

3. I give and bequeath to my wife Mary McPhie a good and comfortable living according to her station in lie to be provided for her by my daughter Margaret Jessie McPhie.

I appoint Margret Jessie McPhie my daughter sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
