Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, Henry L.P. McNeil of New Glasgow  in the County of Pictou Merchant, Do Hereby make and publish and declare this my last Will and testament, at the same time revoking any former wills or testamentary documents  by meat any time heretofore made.

I direct my executors hereinafter named to pay all my just debts, funeral expenses and the expenses attendant on the settlement of my estate as soon as convenient may be after my decease.

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine all my household furniture and personal effects of whatever nature or kind now in and about the dwelling House on which I now reside. I also give and bequeath to my said beloved wife for and during the term of her natural life, the said dwelling house in which I now reside.  I further direct my said executors to keep said house in as good repair as it now is, reasonable wear and tear excepted without loss to my said wife and to pay all taxes and rates assessed by the town of New Glasgow thereon as long as my said wife may live, and I further direct my said executors to pay to my said wife each and every year of her life the sum of three hundred Dollars.

I give devise and bequeath to my son John twelve hundred dollars to be paid to him by my said executors in sums not exceeding in any month the sum of fifteen dollars.

I give devise and bequeath to my daughters Jane wife of Alexander Stewart, and Catherine wife of William Glendinning, twelve hundred dollars each, to be paid to them within three years after my decease, at such time and in such installments as may be most convenient to my said executors.

I give devise and bequeath to my Sister Jane McNeil the sum of One hundred dollars.

I give devise and bequeath all the residue of my estate, and effects both real personal ad mixed, including the reversion and remainder of the said Dwelling House and premises in which I now reside to my daughter Mary and my sons James and Henry, Share and Share alike, but charging at the same time my real estate so devised to my said daughter Mary and my sons James and Henry with the payment of the legacies herein bequeathed to my son John, my daughters Jane and Catherine, my sister Jane, and also with the said annual payment of three hundred dollars to my said wife during her lifetime and with the cost of repairs herein before directed to be made to the said house in which I now reside- and also the taxes to become payable thereon.

I hereby nominate and appoint my daughter Mary and my sons James and Henry executrix and executors of this my last Will and testament.

In testimony whereof I have to this my last Will and testament my hand and Seal subscribed and set this ninth day of April A.D. 1898.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Henry L.P. McNeil, late of New Glasgow  in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this twentieth day of June A.D. 1898.
