Estate of Eliza McNair late of New Glasgow, Spinster, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, Eliza McNair of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou do make and publish this my last Will and testament.

First, I give and bequeath to Ella Mae Jocelyn my iron bedstead and bedding.

Second,  I give and bequeath unto Margaret Catherine McPhee formerly McNair, or her personal representative the sum of Four hundred dollars to be held in trust for her children Mabel McPhee and Matthew Norman McPhee, Henrietta Elizabeth McPhee and Thomas Irving McPhee being one hundred dollars for each of said children to be used Solely in and of the education of said children.

Third, I order and direct that the whole of the rest and residue of my Estate shall be converted into money by my executors (who are hereby given power and authority to sell and convey said Estate) and divided equally between my Sisters Margaret Ann Anderson wife of James Anderson, Caroline McQuarrie wife of Neil McQuarrie and Margaret Catherine McPhee formerly McNair.

If my real estate is unsold at my death I hereby authorize and empower my executors to sell and convey the same for the purposes of the said bequests,

I revoke all former wills and appoint John McGillivray of New Glasgow, Barrister, Executor of this my last Will.

Dated at New Glasgow this 14th. day of December 1896.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Eliza McNair, late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, Spinster, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 29th. day of April A.D. 1898.
