Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

In the name of God, Amen

I George McLeod of Pictou in the County of Pictou Yeoman do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say –

1 I will and direct that all my just and lawful debts be paid and my funeral expenses defrayed by my executors hereinafter to be named out of the proceeds of my estate.

2 I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Isabella F. McLeod all my real estate which I now own or may be possessed of at the time of my decease for her sole use and benefit.

I also give and devise to my said wife al my personal property whatever it consists of or wherever found, whatever money deposited in Bank, books accounts debts due to me and household furniture of ever description.

3 I devise and bequeath to the Boards of the Home and Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian Church of Canada (Eastern Section) whatever may remain of the foregoing bequests at the time of the decease of my said wife to be equally divided between the Home and Foreign Missions.

Finally - I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Isabella F. McLeod Executrix and William Stevenson of Lyons Brook in the County of Pictou executor of this my last Will and Testament giving them full power to transact all business connected with the execution of this my last Will and Testament and I hereby revoke all wills and Testaments heretofore by me made and executed.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Seal at Pictou this fifth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of George McLeod late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Yeoman deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 28th. day of February 1902.
