Estate of Barbara McLeod late of Westville, Spinster, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Barbara McLeod of Westville in the County of Pictou, Spinster.

I hereby revoke all former wills.

I devise and bequeath unto my brother Robert McLeod of Hopewell, Merchant, all my Estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever, in that certain lot and premises situate on the North side of Black Diamond Street, Westville, in the County aforesaid, together with my Share of the buildings.

I nominate and appoint Robert McLeod aforesaid to be the executor of this my Will.

I direct all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied by my executor out of my money on deposit in the Post Office Savings Bank.

I bequeath to my sister Mrs. Neil Matheson of Landsdowne all my furniture and personal effects at present in my house at Westville.

I bequeath to my niece Clara Elizabeth Matheson the sum of Twenty dollars.

I bequeath to my nephew Robert John Matheson the sum of Twenty dollars.

I bequeath all the residue of my personal estate consisting of money, or securities for money to my two sisters Mrs. Neil Matheson and Mrs. Angus McLeod to be divided equally between them, share and share alike.

Signed published and declared by the above named Barbra McLeod testatrix, as and for her last Will in the presence of us both present at the same time, who at his request and in her presence have hereunto Subscribed our names as witnesses. (The same having been first read over and explained to the testatrix Barbara McLeod.)
